Hey guys,

Recently acquired my first G37 sedan and am so far happy. Living on the water I need to make certain to get a good coat of wax on the car and since this I'm in Florida heat is an issue. Do any of you have photos of tint on your car or recommendations for adding another sun barrier without going too dark. My car is slate blue color for what that matters.

And as far as wax is there anything you have used and recommend? I want to make sure it holds up to a little bit of salt spray as storms tend to leave a little on my cars.

Thanks,

JIsaac

I have 35% tint all around...but you can certainly go darker if you like. As far as wax/polish, Zaino is the way to go.

Do you have any photos of your car direct from the side - little difficult to tell how dark the windows are from the angles in your photos. However, the car does look great. I'll have a look at the products your mentioned in your writeup.

Being in FL (assume they stil have no tint laws?). I'd go 20% all around, to me that's the darkest you can go without comprimising vision at night.

Keep realizing I really need to wax my car.

I read somewhere that the glass in the front doors, in FL, can't go any darker then 28%. I went 35% on the front door glass and 18% on the rest. When I had them check the front door tint with their meter it read 28%. I wasn't concerned about the tint law in FL, just was curious. I don't think they do much tint enforcing here in FL. Most cars are tinted here, due to the constant blazing sun.

+1 on the Zaino. I've been using it for years and it's the best polish I've ever used.

Not that I really know the difference, but is it a polish or a wax?

Car looks good. Probably a touch darker than I would go but especially on the white it looks sharp. I'm thinking 35-40% based on what I am reading/seeing. Enough to have an effect but not drastically dark.

it really isn't THAT dark. during the day, i can still kind of see through the window from the outside. what interior do you have? my black interior makes the windows look darker than what they actually are.
