Just bought her. Green 200SX, all stock.

Now, what I come to you asking, is what to do? I'd like more power, better handling, and possibly better looks.A little deeper:

The power is OK. However, I do believe that the engine is NOT burning to it's full potential putting out a stock 112 horses. No way. What do to do gain a bit more? Also, what do I do to make it sound nice? Not high pitched ricer, but not low growl mustang type thing. I'm sure you all know what i'm talking about.

Handling: All I was really thinking is lowering it. An inch or two, just to get a bit closer and a bit tighter. Which springs do I use, how do I install them, etc etc.

Better looks: Body kit! The front needs to look more aggressive and lower to the ground - the back is OK, but once again i'd like it to look lower to the ground. The side panels could also look a bit better. I'm sure theres a full kit I could buy, but i've had no luck searching on google.

Thanks in advance from a newbie asking idiotic questions.

Welcome to Nico. First of all I'd put an intake on it, it'd give you a little more horse and some grunt when you gas it. As for styling I think there is a pretty big selection of body kits for it. Anyways, good luck with it.

Any specific one?Remember, I know absolutely nothing about cars. Whatsoever.

Brand matter? I looked at a few online, and it seemed the longer ones (to get colder air, im assuming) were for 96 and up. Mine is a 95. Also, what exactly do they do? Why would it give me extra "growl"?

Sorry for so many questions, just REALLY curious and I want to start on this.

Thanks very much for the warm welcome.

The only name brand I see is an Injen short ram intake. That'd give you a few more ponies and a bit of a growl as far as sound.

Sadly, you're not going to get much more power out of the 1.6, but an intake and a catback exhaust would make it a little more lively to drive.

Check out our sponsors (Sport Compact Only is a good general source of all kinds of parts, for instance) and see what you can find.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate it. Got an Injen on order, and going to see what Hybridz downtown can do for me about an exhaust.

Try to avoid glasspacks and definitely get a resonator, otherwise you'll have that buzzy sound and drive yourself crazy.
