Guys, this is my first post. I am in the process of buy a new Z. I wanted a 2006 roadster left over but i got sold before I sold my car. Turns out though that I found a yellow 2005 touring automatic roadster left over that I can buy for 32K including tax. Or I could get a 2007 touring 6MT for 31K including tax. Yea the prices are correct, I have employee discount

ummmm..I would go New- why would you get a 2005 when it is already 2007...if you were to get that convertible for like $28K then you have a dilema-I was offered $29K for a brand new 06 convertible touring when I was car shopping. please go with the 2007-that new HR motor is no joke-plus dont forget the deprieciation a 05 versus an 07

-taz say you get new

Uh...dude, what state do you live in? I got a better deal on my 2007, and I don't even work at a dealership.

I live in PA. Not saying your lying but I get 4.5% under invoice and the add 6% PA sales tax to the bill. There's no dealer around here that will come even close to that. The coupe sticker is over 35K

-you know you are supposed to change a cars oil every 3,500 or 3 months- I hope the 2005 has gotten its oil change or that real-REAL old oil inside that engine;)

Great!! Glad to hear your not calling my a liar. Not that I care, just I would hate to whip out the window sticker from my car and fax it to ya . Maybe it stickers that much where your from, because not many people can afford them, and sales are hard to make there. Mine stickerd at $27,450, before delear options of course.

Get the 07. It wouldn't be a smart decision to do otherwise

Long and short, you either want a 'vert (yellow one at that) or you don't. Not sure what part of PA you're in, but if it's your one and only transportation you're not going to be happy in a convertible all winter. On the other hand if you have a winter beatr, get the convertible and watch it hold it's value. Though a 2 year old (new) car should be discounted more than that???

I'd say get the '07

I agree completely. The price on that 05 should be considerably lower than that. Why buy a car that's 2 years older for about the same price?? It just wouldn't make sense to do something like that.

coupe all the way. I think some dealerships just need to get rid of a vehicle so they need to do what ever it takes. My Grand Touring had every option and stickered at $41,400 and the dealer tinted the windows, put a 3m clear bra, a NISMO exhaust which I had taken off (go with other later)and put me a billet grill. After all was said I left there paying $37,200. The base was $36,800 and nearly $7000 of options so someone was not making anything on this car. Just get the coupe the roadster in yellow may be a little flaming IMO.

07 model has better engine and doesn't leak oil through the ring. Newer revision transmission that doesn't break easily on synchros. The coupe has less weight than the roadster and doesn't look like a blonde driven car.The coupe has siffer frame that will protect you better. The coupe has 6 Speed MT that gets faster speed and better mileage.

End of story.

Havent posted much on here, just curious to see if i did ok on my deal. Got an 08 base and paid $28,000 out the door. I figured i got an ok deal, not great. The dealer said it was a steal but they always say crap like that. And oh yeah i would get the 07 coupe no doubt.
