That is a pretty good answer to the 7 series, & I do mean 7 series. This thing is supposed to be 7 inches longer than the current Q45!

Gee Greg and Nick, that steak dinner in Phoenix is sure going to taste good! Can we invite Joe too?

Saw the Sport M45 with options I wanted listed out for $52,650.00. A good, if not compelling, buy in my book. Maybe the test drive will convert me. This car will sell like hotcakes at a lumberjack breakfast.

I think the bet was for an adult beverage, and Brian's memory must be damn good.

We had bet that the new M would NOT look like the Fuga (posted back in September), and I was mistaken - I was banking on something that would look more like a cross between the current M and a '63 Continental. :)

I'll gladly buy that steak dinner, though, with the knowledge that the new M will NOT look like (debatable) the Fuga.

I like the white seats but that must get dirty fast. I save my cash for the $50,000 plus all the leather cleaner.

I'm a little concerned that it's offered with the choice of the V6 or V8 - I'd really prefer designing the platform for only one engine - I just can't imagine that there aren't compromises when you set up a chassis for two engines.

All of that being said - I really like the looks of that car! I tried the "Build your M" option on Joe's flash link and it came out in the mid $50s nicely loaded. What's the price point going to be on the new Q, $65K+? Maybe they're going to seperate the M and Q by comfort options and make the Q even bigger than the M (with the added 7 inches) with real rear leg room, lots of power, but a soft suspension to really go after the LS430 luxury market instead of trying to make the flagship a luxo-sport combination?

I agree. I was a little surprised they even considered a V6. But this is clearly a marketing strategy to go after the GS300/400 line.
