My brother just purchased a 1990 M30 today. I think he paid 1300? Well I just wanted to get some information about the car. I know that are very similar to the Z31. I am very familiar with the 240sx, performance wise. Some questions I have are if the Z32 brake calipers fit and if he could get 5 lug from a different car? Will suspension from a Z31 fit maybe a LSD also? I know the power steering pump is bad maybe one from a different car will fit? Later on down the road he wants to swap in a different motor. Any info on SR20 or RB25 swaps would help then. He would also like to swap out the auto for a manual. Will the pedal assembly. and clutch master cylinder and lines from a Z31 fit? Also does anyone know of any after market performance sites or M30 specific forums. Any info would be a big help.

Thanks,

Jon Moffett

The M30 contingency is pretty light here, it's growing though and the "founder" has a rather modified (IIRC).

I don't think any regular (daily) posters have an M30.

hi, i just recently got an m30 convertable 3 weeks ago. it has the vg30e sohc v6. the engine from all the 80's 300zx. so i suppose the pwrstg pump from an old z with the vg30e will work. also the 200sx se....there may be others that have the vg30e.

also i found out that the m30 infiniti is a car from nissan's original japanese line, the nissan leopard(F31). the leopard has vg30de(t)

and the rear diff is lsd i think. the suspension on mine is bad all around and when it rains hard the rear seems to lose traction on one side. whatever diff it is i'll bet it is an r200 of some rariety.

by the way i am selling mine soon, it's getting a brand new top next week! they didnt make too many conv., i think 2,500. anyone know for sure?

mark walberg in the movie three kings, he and ice cube argue through out the move about it, then they find one. and i want to see it again to see forsure, i think the only conv. was m30. it must have been the same car as mine, don't remember.

i think the only conv. infiniti is the 91-92 m30 excluding 90'.

Jon,

As i said on florida drift.com hit me up on xX 1SickZ Xx and i can answer anything you need regarding the m30. Much easier to communicate this way.

Best motor swap for money to power ratio is a vg30et out of a z31.

hit me up man.. i have all your answers...

im the guy that works with JT
