so i bought a car being told the head gasket is bad. not to big of a problem, got a facility i can use a lift and what not. got the transmission out so i can pull my motor. how should i go about it cause i have asked a guy here if he could help and he wants money. id rather put my time and money into the car.
1. so i got a oem head gasket and tomei intake and throttle body gaskets and exhaust gaskets on the way. what else(considering i dont want to build yet) should i get to be safe for a while?
2. how to do it...i got the basics but im no expert. i know i gotta pull drive shafts and engine mounts and a/c and p/s.

get ahold of the full service manual that describes how to remove the head and accessories. Also, while you are at it, change out the head studs for some ARPs.

Also change ALL the rubber coolant line hoes under the intake manifold. The old stuff will fail and you will over heat letting you waste that nice headgasket :( ohh wait I'm talking about me.
