I finally got myself a set of wheels and am loving the look.

Yes, I realize I need a drop now. I already made a thread with similar questions, but I have 60,000 miles on my coupe and feel that the springs would kill my stock struts. What can I buy with my springs to ensure a long, trouble free life from them?

Currently there is no 100% fix for eibachs + stock struts. There is no way of telling if they will last 1000 miles after the eibachs or 100,000 miles after the eibachs. There are guys with 60k on the eibachs and stock struts and they have no issues, but people have blown struts after a few thousand miles on the eibachs. A lot of it depends on the kinds of roads you have to drive on daily, but really it's a shot in the dark. I've had mine for 15,000 miles or so and they seem perfect still, but I only have 20k miles on my car lol

So, if you want to lower it, do it. either way you will have to replace the struts someday.

it depends on a variety of things. when I had eibachs installed I had the same worries. but other than that everything seemed smooth til i upgraded to coils.

IMO I just say you save up for coilovers. Theres many more benefits.

1. You replace the entire strut and spring system. so if anything ever happens with your coils, you still have your old struts/springs you can put back on.
2. Fully adjustable. Eibachs gives you the certain drop limit. So no adjusting when it comes to winter.. road trips... etc.
3. SO MUCH EASIER TO INSTALL. trust me I hand installed both my eibachs and coilovers.
4. The sexy stance.....imo you just can't get with springs.

Just in general you can work better and have more control over your suspension. but if you don't want to spend the extra $$ I say go with eibachs. but there is no certain or legitimate answer of what can/will happen. But a member here did get a full replacement for his springs when something happened to his eibachs.. they have really good customer service.

Good luck! :bigthumb:

I love my set too. Once you lower your coupe, you'll love them even more bro. Congrats once again!
