Car: SR20DET 240sx Hatch

Post

I got this as my first car when I was 16 back right before senior year of high school in August of 2008.
She is a 1992 240sx with the SR20DET redtop engine.
I picked her up in Colorado, I live in Wyoming. (There are no 240's here to buy haha)
I now just started my sophmore year in college. I would just like to post pictures of the slight transformation I have made from when i got it, to how it is currently. And probably will use this page to show future modifications too.
*This DOES NOT include all of the things that broke and I had to REPLACE such as transmission, slave & master cylinder, subframe, wind shield, interior, etc. Just mostly the cosmetic transformation.
I am 18 btw. Enjoy.

First day when I brought her home.

Got the Windows Tinted...not having A/C sucks in the summer, so the tint helps keep it cooler inside.

Decided the stock lights are ugly, and got these ebay ones off a friend, with plans of making them cool later on. For now it looks super RICE!

Image
Figured out drifting was too hard with an open differential, so I installed a VLSD from a S14. Testing it on the driveway!

Image
Painted the center tail light peice black because it was just too much rice for me, and I'm Asian! bad joke... ha

Image
Picked up some steelies for drift practice

Ready for more rice?
Image
I got some horrible fitting ugly rims because i thought they looked better. Well they look okay from a block away i guess...

My buddy Kyle wrecked his 240 drifting and decided to part it out, got this Greddy catback from him =)
Image
Image
Way sexier than the ugly old rusty Magnaflow that came with the car.

Found a good deal on coilovers and got Stance GR+PRO's =)
Image
Oh and painted my brake calipers red.

Horay for honda/american muscle fitment.

Got JDM front turn signals with daytime driving lights that I could turn on or off whenever. Sold the rice wheels and rocked the stock SE rims. Next to my buddy Ben after he finished swapping a SR into his hatch.

Finally had enough of the rice tail lights and Red-ed them out with vinyl.

My latest addition and probably my favorite so far are the 5Zigen FN's Polished =) 17x9 +20mm 215/45/17.

Some High Res Pictures. Feel free to click on them to get a bigger image.
Also "blacked out" the JDM turn signals.

That's it for now, I want to roll my fenders soon so I can go lower, the wheel gap right now is horrid like a monster truck's.

Turned out really good. Had me worrying at the beginning with those taillights and wheels, but I'm glad you got away from those quickly.

ya i had plans the whole time to red the tail lights out and for the wheels. it just took a while to save up for them. they were pricey!

Nice, very good upgrades, keep 'em coming! Did you get the vinyl someplace local to you or can it be found online?

Got the vinyl off ebay! lol just search "taillight vinyl". they got different colors too. $15 for 12"x48" sheet, which is enough for my tail lights. the 12"x24" wouldn't have been enough.
