I had a voice mail on my phone the other day from a fellow car club member* who said he knew someone selling their entire low mileage turbo kit for 750 bucks. and it includes everything. now i know that it all wont fit my application, and i dont know the details of the kit yet. What should i be asking / looking for? i know to check the turbo for free spin. but what other parts should i be inquiring about, etc?

*note *the club is a college based club - it has the name of the school in the clubs name - the club member who called me is actually an allumni i know well who owns his own tire/oilchange shop. We are in northwest wisconsin, very few imports around here, the turbo is off of a domestic car, dont know what yet. There isnt much of a market around here for turbos and the guy is just trying to get rid of it.

I htink you should ask them where the "search" button is

You need to look at how many of the parts will change over to your car, and what they're worth to see if it's worht it. as for what will fit your car... that's been covered pretty well here, look for posts by WDRacing, he usually has a comprehensive answer

You can use all the parts. But you'll have to buy a manifold and make all your own custom piping.

if it's from another car, you're still going to have to spend quite a bit of money for parts and time at tuning it. also the turbo may not be a desirable size. i don't think its a good deal.

if you have 750$, you're more than halfway to a complete low-boost setup ready for upgrade along the way...
