So i was driving today from my school in Philly(Drexel) to the Import Revolution show in Ft. Washington. I was crusing the whole way there, doing around 90 with this hot chick in an M3. So anyway, there is a lot of traffic right before the exit i needed. I was going about 5 miles per hour or less. Inching along... Then POP:confused: Mad white smoke started shooting out from under my hood.I immediately stopped in teh middle of traffic popped my hood. There was smoke everywhere. So after a minute, it blew away, i thought i overheated but my water temp gauge was good. I got over to the shoulder. It turns out that since i rigged a hose to route past the heater core, it touched the turbo outlet, melted, burned some coolant, and melted back together. I had never been sooo scared in my life though. I thought my newly built sr car was dead.

So the moral of my story is:Don't jimmy rig stuff in your car. Do it right the first time. We are all enthusiasts here, and we shouldn't sacrifice our cars to save some time
