i have an s13 sr in an s13 chassisok guys i just got my wiring service done and the guy said that for the tail harness(the one that goes down to the transmission) all i needed was the one plug that is connected by a LONG wire all the way to the back of the transmission. and he taped up the other three plugs out of the way.so... i believe that this is my speed sensor plug, so would that mean that my neutral postion sensor is not plugged in? and the third plug on the transmission(the one closest to the firewall)is that the back up light sensor? will the car run right with just the one plug plugged in, the long one that goes to the back of the transmission? the guy said that he eliminated the speed limiter this way, does that sound right?thanks, quang

I have everything plugged in on mine.

I don't think the "speed limiter"is a plug, I think it is programmed into the computer. The plug would be a speed sensor which I do believe you will need.

yeah the speed sensor is the plug with the long wire that goes to the back of the transmission right?what do the other plugs do if they are plugged or unplugged?

the only two trans plugs you need to worry about are the speed sensor and the reverse switch.

the reverse switch being the one closest to the firewall and the speed sensor being the farthest from the firewall?what would happen if any of these were unplugged?and what does the plug in the middle do?thanks

your speedo wouldn't work if the speed sensor were to be unplugged, and you're reverse lights wouldn't work if the reverse plug were undone.

from front to back, it's reverse lamp switch, top position switch, O.D. position switch, neutral osition switch, speed sensor.

SR Sensors

KA Sensors

Both of these don't show the speed sensor for some reason, but at least you know which one it is. HTH
