Very few people mess with the ga16. It's not made for performance and very few companies make aftermarket parts for it. You can swap in a JDM SR20DE and for about $500 and make 140hp. in stock form.

I don't try too hard to get performance out of it. I mainly use it to try and get more mileage out of an HHO setup on it at the moment.

My aim name is in the profile, hit me up sometime. I'm doing some cosmetic and 5spd things to it just to spice up my life this week.

Yeah it's just like my old KA24DE, just smaller. So it's not hard to work on at all man.Generally on any engine you can advance the timing 3~4 degrees and extra power can be harnessed in any car. Factory timing is a little on the safe side.

I have a GA16DE with all kinds of little goodies in my NX. Just don't expect too much. Although I'm running close to 200 HP now 198Whp @6500 235 lb-ft@5800. I have spent a fair bit in time and money though. close to 2300 on motor & trans and now I need a new trans yet again. So there's your weak point IMO. Can't seem to keep Transmissions ... I'm goign to be easier on the next one.

swap it for a DE since it would be cheap. if you want more then you can't beat a VE...

O.K., You got me I have ga16 also, I have been looking around all over on-line all I can find is bolt - on parts. Everyone keeps telling me save up and go with a sr20. I see more and more engine swaps out there from ga16 - to - sr20. so, I will keep posted If I find more Info.... Plus I live in FL................
