Around here in jersey, its really popular to have neons right above the pedals and also at the feet of the passenger. Im looking for some neons to throw into my car, too. However, I'm looking for the ones that flash to the bass of my music. Some of my boys have these but I think they overpaid. If you have neons, how much did you pay and where did you buy from? Thanks in advance, Zack.

Can't say that I'm surprised about Jersey in that regard... In that case, go out on a limb, and be original by not installing tacky interior lights.

But, if you must, the ones that flash with the music are called "beat lights" or something along those lines. They have a little sound sensor, that can usually be adjusted, that makes the light flash whenever a sound loud enough triggers it (usually the bass). It's an OK system but you need to always tune it for the current music volume...

Please don't get these though. Your Z or A/C or whatever you own now is much more grown up without the lights. These fads pass in time. Or I would hope.

your looking for something called pulsating lights. They have settings for if you want them to do that with the bass and if u just want them without the pulsating. They cost about 20 from pep boys per light. They plug into the cigarette lighter...ghetto if u dont wire em seperatly, which u can. There is also a site with them on it its ledunderbody.com look them up on there its like 40 for 4 of em

I used to have these on my last car (I know, I know ) but I at least did it right. I had a gray interior so it was alot brighter and smoother tone for the lights. I also wired them up so you couldn't see any wires or led strips or anything.

I would not get them again and it was just a fad, but it was one of those things that I have always wanted and just had to go ahead and get them, or I would want them every time I did a mod.

Don't waste your money like I did... get something that is a head turner and functional as well (i.e. CAI, exhaust, etc.)

You can buy the Bass Sensitive Neons at Walmart bro. Which I imagine a lot of your rocket friends did. Neons are still popular in NJ? Geez, this died in Virginia back in 04.

NJ is the 2nd best state in the union because every other state is tied for first.

Hey burton... read up boss... neon is out.. leds are in... Less draw and brighter light, smaller and more reliable... Check this thread... http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread/349567

The led bars i have under the dash are 2 9" bars on each side, and i cut off that thing that makes them pulse to the music because i think its dumb.

However, may i add that dr feelgood, myself, itsjustbusiness and several others have footwell lights. Some dont like em, i dig it! Wait till i get the black headliner done.

Burton... which forum should this be in? heheh

Aha, all the kids whose mommys and daddys buy them expensive cars get these, didn't you know?

But honestly, do what you personally think is right to your car. It's all about expressing yourself.

If you seriously thought about it and still want LEDs that blink and stuff to music go for this:http://www.oznium.com/inferno-v2

For someone who drives a Z don't you have a camera phone?

It better not have "interior accent lights" in the photo

okay. so for the most part your still taking the bus to and from work and school unless a friend decides to be generous and pick you up. Really, there's nothing wrong with public transportation, but claiming that you have a Z when you have a bus punch card good for 50 rides isn't the same thing. Also, just because you sleep on the bus (zzzzzzzz) does not mean you have a z.

I think I just lost a few brain cells reading this post.

For those that think that neons and/or underglows = rice...

I could point out many things on some Altima's here that are more 'rice' than that.

I sat on my lg flipshot..the one with the 3mp camera made for pictures and broke it in half. I use my phone from 3 years ago don't know whats up with all the negative criticism?? Claiming i own a z? If i say i have one then I have one.

Heh why don't you share those things then? Most of us don't go and clean out the Pepboys accessories isle.

You must have lost many brain cells, because since 2001 neon/underglow =

rice= any modification done to a motor vehicle in which someone else does not agree with the style or idea of.

example.

you lower your car someone else doesnt like lowered cars, therefore your lowered car is rice

you install exhaust, someone else doesnt like the sound, therefore your car now sounds like rice

you install gullwing doors, someone else doesnt like door hinges on the roof, therefore you car is rice

you do anything to your car that would change it from stock, someone else doesnt like anything but stock, therefore your car is rice

No. Ricer is from the latin word "Ricarius" meaning, to suck at everything you attempt.

Its any person who adds tasteless modifications to a perfectly normal automobile. In all the direct definitions I have ever known of a "ricer", neons were included in the definition. They serve absolutely no purpose, other than to attract attention, and get your tickets on the street. I can't think of a more useless modification.
