im thinking about getting a red neon license plate frame for my 2004 coupe. ive heard though, that you can actually get pulled over for that because the cops say its a "distraction" to drivers behind you and can cause an accident. can anyone tell me if thats true or not?

I think it would depend on your location. I had one on the back that I hooked up to the brake lights, never got pulled over. It finally died so I replaced it with a frame I made using red LEDs.
