Hey all,

Was looking into using Neo Synthetic Gear Oil for trans fluid in by car and wanted to see if anybody has used it on their cars.
http://www.neosyntheticoil.com/category ... s/gear-oil

I've used it on my old FD RX-7 5spd, filled the trans and diff with the same fluid, and it did wonders for drivability, the trans felt smoother shifting, it did have the usual FD 5th Gear grind, but it did it less frequently, overall it drove waaay smoother than before I changed fluid. So now I'm just wondering if anybody has used it inside their gearboxes, and had any good or bad experiences. BTW my car is running an RB26, with an R34 5spd Trans, converted to push type. Also from what I've searched on here, is 75W90 the correct weight for the trans? Also I'm running a welded diff, what weight should I use for that?? I know noob question.

Thanks!!

the main thing to look for is that your trans fluid is gl-4 and the diff is gl-5... something like 75W-90 is perfect though

so just to clarify, RB25 trans should be GL-4, 75w 90 or something heavier?

I have an NA 300ZX LSD, is a GL-4 appropriate for that? I heard that both the trans and the diff use the same fluid...

well from my experience on my FD i used the same fluid in both, Neo is rated GL-2 through GL6, so I'm guessing it makes sense.
