I know that I am new 'round here but I have been a silent observer for years. Therefor, I have searched, a lot, and haven't found the answers (or recent answers) that I need.

I have an S14. I will be doing an RB25 soon. I can't decided which model to go with. Some help would be great.

The NEO sounds like a great option, even though it is more expensive. My question with it is; what if anything do I have to do in regards to the TB to make it work. I don't want to do the Greddy IM as of yet, so stock manifold would be best.

Secondly, is Mckinney up on doing the wiring yet. I know it is new but I think they have seen at least a couple by now. If not, who?

My next question is in regards to the whole oil pump/collar thing. What are the odds of getting one of the "bad" setups in a S2? or an S1.

BTW, one last thing, has anyone used of Tokyo Motor Imports? They seem to have pretty good prices but who knows.

Don't know much about the swaps, but as for the motors, I'd say, regular RB25. If you are going to spend the money on a NEO, you might as well go with a RB26. There is just more proven aftermarket support and tech support out there for them. just my .02

the neo rb25 is the best bang for the buck rb engine there is...internally as strong as the 26 but cheaper and less complicated.ive done afew neo swaps now and ive always been impressed at the power output.

They do have better heads, cranks, and con rods, but the pistons are the same. In stock form, I guess I'd rather have a neo, but if I was going to modify, I'd rather start with a regular RB25. What's the price difference between the two in the states?

What about the whole throttle body thing. Can I just take out the butterfly for the traction control or do I need to replace it with something else?

After reading a lot about where to buy them, I'm thinking going with Venus, they have a NEO for $2800 shipped. Sounds good enough to me!

My brother is thinking about putting a NEO in his S13 (thus the drift bros), maybe we can get a better deal for two from some where?

That looks really nice. Thanks for the info.

Do you have documentation for the wiring? I'm confortable with electronics and if I knew what needed to be done could easily do it myself.

What did you use for the intake, it looks very nice and factory. What intercooler did you use? It looks like it has in/out on the same side? I was looking at the cxracing unit that has in/out on the same side.

really?curious...the neo i posted revs like a freeking 1jz, no issues with lag or response.

according the the fsm when the throttle motor or tcs tps goes out the engine will run just without traction control.its really a moot point anyways...just like the boost sensor, only needed to actuate the stock boost solenoid...other than that just useless.

Do the neo heads bolt on to regular 25's? I know of a couple n/a neo's sitting around junkards here (RB20/25) I wonder if they would be worth grabbing.
