ok well i was just about to send off my lower intake to RIPS and have them do it up for me but i had a gut feeling about trying make the Greddy intake plenum to work. well turns out that it WILL WORK. the only differences are two things..one the IAC valve the R33 had a three bolt style and the R34 NEO has an almost SR20 style four bolt. thats an easy fix...just open up the plenum with a cutter and remove the R33 IAC valve flange and make one that will suit the IAC valve from the NEO RB25. second the fuel rail...neo has top feed style injectors and the R33 RB25 has side feeds. all you have to do is either convert to side feed fuel rail or do like im doing and set the manifold up for top feed style injecors. and thats it, the flange is identical for mating it to the head. i will have my manifold next week and if anyone is interested i will be happy to post up pics of it for the before and after. this engine is going to start coming over here more and more and not if but when i get this worked out, if anyone else that has a neo is interested in making this style setup work lemme know..

Yea, i had asked Fito about it and he said his worked no problem. We are going to be messing w/ a neo soon and had asked him. i think the only reason greddy doesn't list it for the neo is becuase of the incompatability w/ the TCS system.

Did the RB25DET neo use drive by wire? I always though that it looked like a Drive by wire servo or something like that, i hate hate hate drive by wire.

no its not a dirve by wire set up, however the factory throttle body has got to be the funkiest thing i have ever seen...it has not one but two butterflies, one for the actual throttle and the other works with the traction control system...i have got to put of some photos of this thing...freakin weird.....

so what does it do exactly? choke your engine out when you have no traction?

well looking how its designed i would have to say yeah it would starve the engine , but that to me seems kinda silly, why not just kill a cylinder or two and get the same effect..just my .02

Probably because if you killed a cylinder or two it would result in a drastic loss of power and would feel like hittin a rev limiter. Nissan wouldn't want it to feel like that because that would have an unnatural feeling to it. By using the second butterfly, it can be adjusted pretty well and wouldn't cause such a drastic loss in power. that way it wouldn't be intrusive to the driver. imo
