neo install ?'s

i'm getting ready to hook up my neo but on the wiring instructions it shows a plug for air flow. did anyone do that or just solder it in? I don't understand the plug deal of it cuz eveything else is wired in. if anyone is familiar with the wiring diagrams its shows the designated wires but...it doesn't tell you which wires off the neo your supposed to use?? anywhere!! am i supposed to guess until i get it right? sorry for the rant.
