A little help if possible

I need the driver side power seat control switch. My mechanic is having trouble finding one, says he will pay for it and install. Also, what do I do about getting a TCU to start the Q in first. JWT or a '93 Q chip? Does AAACOMP do these too?

Also, as a poll, I do a lot of in town driving, need to get on the highway more. Do you guys drive in town in D or 3?

Also, 1Qckser, I've meant to call you back. Been sick and working too hard. I have a toll free number at work if you want to give me a call 1-866-929-4383. Like I said, before I invest in the Q, I would like someone knowledgable to give me an inspection. I've got this annoying vibration (doesn't everybody) at idle. Gives me a butt massage. I guess that's ok if you're into that kind of thing. But I prefer mine in the bedroom :rolleyes

thanks again

Call joe for your parts needs..... http://www.infinitipartsusa.com and his phone number is there.....

I usually drive in 3 when im below 40mph... All my driving is in town.....

A 93 TCU or JWT will be fine..... It comes down to whatever you can get cheaper... I think heath (Q451990) has one... AAAcomp will also tdo them.....

Actually Grubbs Infiniti would be closer to you, meaning faster and cheaper shipping. Their banner is to the left.

I have a 93 ECU and TCU combination sitting beside my desk. I assume they work and will be happy to test them for a few days if anyone is interested. They're off of a standard (no TCS, Active Suspension) Q. I'll sell them as a pair for $300 + shipping.

Glenn currently does the TCU, I spoke with him regarding my ECU, during our talk it was mentioned that he has a TCU in stock.

After owning my car a few months it is becoming clear that the transmission is not using the engine to its full advantage. Unless I floor it, the transmission always seem to be in a relatively high gear, and the revs are kept pretty low. But if I put the gear shift in 2 it seems to start in first gear and is much quicker. Is there some mod such as the trans control unit you all are discussing that also might be available on a 97 to keep the transmission from usually being about one gear higher than most of us would choose if we had a manual transmission? Thanks.

From my knowledge, only the 90-93's didn't start in first gear. My guess is your transmission needs a flush/pan drop. The car does try to stay down on RPM's to try and get "some" decent mileage.

Not sure about the 97 and up, but for in town driving alot of us leave the car in 3rd to help transmission life and allow the car to be more "responsive".

Good luck and Welcome to NICO.

The '93's do start in 1st, hence the interest in their TCUs from '90-'92 owners.
