Hi guys, we have firmed up the dates on the meet, it will beSaturday, May 20th, and Sunday May 21st, 2006.

We have decided to meet in Watkins Glen, around 10am or so, a final place to meet in the Glen will be posted within two weeks or so, so I can get maps for those of you who are coming from out of state. If at all possible, I need a firmer head count and I'd like to confirm that at minimum I can get 5 dollars from everyone coming so that I can get food and drinks for everybody. I have a Paypal account or would take personal checks in advance by the 13th of May, or you can just bring it with you. If you are staying for Sunday, maybe we can plan a group lunch or dinner together at a local restaurant before we all go our seperate ways. If you can't sleep in a tent, we will post local accomodations, just let us know.

Basically, please let me know what you're doing and how many you're bringing with you so I know how many I am feeding Saturday in advance. Also, let me know if you are spending the night so Bernie knows who he might find in tents in his backyard, and who will be with us the next day. As we finalize more, I will add to this post, so keep watching!

I'm hoping my car will be SR'ed before then and if I get it running smoothly I'll definately be there. Also a couple of my friends would like to go as well. Two of them have 240's but the rest don't. So if people don't mind having a Subie, a honda (w/LS block, 1.8 13:1 compression) and possibly an Olds with a Grand National motor in the mix, I know they would love to come. So that would be six coming if we all did.

I had a count of ten awhile ago, but that's uncertain. So far, confirmed i'll have four between, me, my boyfriend, Chris and Bernie. EVERYBODY ELSE: YOU ARE GETTING SLEEPY. VERY SLEEPY. YOU WILL DO EXACTLY AS I SAY- YOU WILL COME TO THE MEET WITH HOT CARS...YOU WILL BRING FRIENDS...YOU WILL BRING 5 BUCKS EACH FOR FOOD. WHEN I SNAP MY FINGERS, YOU WILL ALL WORSHIP ME...UM I MEAN, GO ABOUT YOUR NORMAL LIVES...and come to the meet May 20th and 21st. HEHE

I need definite answers from people by the 5th of May, as I will be away in Carlisle that weekend, and want to make sure I have every thing in stone because May has very quickly become very busy for me. That's the only thing I'm going to put in stone other than the dates for the meet and the 5 bucks. Please contact me on AIM, or by my cellphone, if I don't answer, leave a message saying you are from NICO and who you are, and how many you're bringing for sure.

Thanks- Cat

I know you are pretty well advanced on this date---but if you wanted to tie it into an HPDE at Watkins Glen, NY & Patroon BMWCCA will have one June 12/13th --Patroon helped put on the Z car Club national convention track day at WGI last year.

We would have to work out details of entry--but I can set aside room at the track for you--and as long as cars pass tech ( and you sign up /pay) you can get a track day as well.

I own/drive a CA powered 240, and run the Patroon DE Committee.

Let me know if there is interest ( or for later in the year at Lime Rock Park (Sept)

Sorry--been away. Here is the Tech sheethttp://home.nycap.rr.com/patro...5.pdf

You should get the car checked out by a mechanic (unless you are one)--flush/bleed the brakes--make sure you have decent pads (I killed a set of fronts at the Glen last year)--good tires ( not brand new--they will chunk)--make sure the car is up to being pushed. You will push the limits of the car in accelleration and braking.

there is a manual here on Drivers school basicshttp://home.nycap.rr.com/patro...0.pdf

We still have openings for June ( I think we have just under 50 people registered right now) --and Sept at LRP. You get classroom time and track time--and can discuss with people what you are doing.

MAKE SURE YOUR CAR IS READY FOR THIS. nothing sucks more than paying to go and having a car break on you ( been there done that).

DJAny more questions--feel free to email me--I only check the forums once in a while --- [email protected]

It's not looking so good for me either....Engine is in, waiting on parts to come in. Not sure about my ECU though. I decided a while back that buying a Mines VX-ROM would be a good thing. Well It would definately be a good thing if I knew what it was tuned for!! So I have been trying to find someone to read the ECU so I can buy the corresponding parts. I have a rough idea of what it is tuned for, but I'm not sure about injector sizes (A very important peice of the puzzle). I do not want to start it until I'm sure of that. Definately do not want to run lean. I also installed a Z32 MAFS so I still need to buy an Apexi SAFC2 to run the signal....Once all this is cleared up I can give you a definate answer. I am aiming to go though.
