well my first thought was:

"mercy, those are some wide wheels"

then, my second thought was:

"why did you get such wide wheels?"

If you want to keep your spedo correct and want to stay as close as possible to the OEM total diameter then I would go with.

245/35R18 for the front265/35R18 for the rear

That is the closest thing I could find and you spedo would read 61mph when you are really going 60.

If you want to play around with sizes just go here.http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

I don't really know why you had the 25 profile for the fronts. The 35 is almost an exact match.

well, the 8.5 wheels will extend 147mm from the hub, which is about a 25mm inboard increase, which is about an inch closer to the shock body. I think that there will be some clearance issues, and it would be a good idea to run spacers. 15-20mm spacers should work, based on what I've seen with 17x9 +15. If you run a lower spacer up front, make sure that there is little sidewall bulge, and you might get away with more offset. Do you have coilovers?

why did you get such wide wheels in incorrect offsets?if you ponied up the money, the least you could have done was get correct wheels, spacers are a bad solution, especiallyin the distance you'r going to need(20mm minimum), thats almost an inch spacer, which is just unsafe, period.

get the correct wheels. Also, dont type in all caps, and please for the love of god, read my stickies before posting like this again, thanks! enjoy our forums!-chet

Oh my. There is NO way those will clear. I didn't realize you had coilovers. Oh well, try again. You will probably need something like a 20-25mm offset with a 8.5"
