Post

Hi Guys,

I have a '91 Vert. 2.4L I have to sell. Went through the whole thing so my daughter could have it for high school. She moved away & did not take the car.It has all the options, ABS Rotors and Breaks in front, new breaks & rotors in rear, No ABS System though, New tires 3K miles on them, New Convert. Top & liner, All New Struts, Engine has been steam cleaned, New Alternator, New Battery, All oils have been changed -Engine, Trans, Diff, Convert Motor, New Tags, no tears in Interior, Interior Door Panels are in great shape, No Dents, Paint is perfect. 92k miles. Cruise Control, PW, PS, Totally steam cleaned the interior. New floor mats.Unfortunately, I hate to sell the car so I need to know how much you guys think it's worth. Speed Monster

you can upload them onto http://imageshack.us/

For free. THen click the little yellow thing. Next to the hyperlink icon when you hit reply. Just copy and paste the URL of each image that is on the website. Then you are set. If that does not help then maybe one of the other members can help you out.

But that is the way I get my pictures on here. If they turn out small don't worry about it. You can enlarge them just by double clicking on the picture and it will make it bigger on your screen.

Daughter missed a great car.

And yes, somewhere around $4k, depending on how the market is in AZ right now.

WOW... That's great if you have been offered more than 4.5K, definitely take it. My friend bought one in about the same shape here in NC for $3,200.

Yeah $4500 is a fair value for that car. If you get offered more than that, take it.

If you really don't need to sell it, I'd highly recomend keeping it.

These cars are so much fun in every aspect. They're fun to drive, they're fun to work on, they're fun to modify, they're fun to hard park with...

Even if you're not really experienced with working on cars, the s13 with the KA24DE is pretty easy to work on. If and when you get stuck or have a problem we have so much knowledge and experience on this website (Nico) that we can get you back on track and your problems solved in no time.

Heck, you've got $4500 into it, might as well get your monies' worth out of it!

I can promise you, you will not regret keeping it.

This car sounds EXACTLY like mine when I bought it. Same mileage and all! I bought mine in Oct. '07 for $4100. He wanted $4500 for it.If you feel like that isn't enough, then just keep it. Remember a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, not for what someone is willing to let it go for.Good luck! I'd buy it if I didn't already have one!

Man I was hoping to offer you some money for it. I live in CO and AZ is the closest convertible ive seen for sale. Well ive seen others but they are not up to par. I would like something fairly nice.

I cant believe that its 4500 though. I could buy myself an S14 for that price.

Man I really want a Convertible. If your willing to sell for less than that let me know. It would cost me a bit to come get it so thats mainly why. If it were here in town I would probably pay close to 4500.

NICE CAR THOUGH!

Pretty much the whole vert forum thinks a reasonable price is $4500. He could probably get more than that if he is patient.

Sellers aren't going to cut you a discount just because you live far away.

Maybe you should get an S14...

1. I had an S14. Not something i desire.

2. I know people wont cut a discount but it would be nice to find something for that price locally or something cheaper than that if I have to travel.

I would also love to just find a shell but would prefer something very clean to just roll around in. If it were that clean i would just lower it and put wheels. And really thats it, just keep it clean. If its cheap and beat then its going all out.

OH well.

Keep checking craigslist. That's where a lot of the cheap verts seem to be. If you're willing to travel, I bet a lot of the vert forum guys would be willing to check a car out for you and report back.

But that ^ is one of the best verts I've seen for sale (on "paper"). It doesn't really need anything.

Hey Ish...,Thanks for the reply.I think you helped me make up my mind.I think I'm going to store it for a couple of years in my workshop, but drive it every now and then.Hey, it's got 92k miles on it and it's clean, it's just a matter of time before someone is interested in it.I would like to modify it a little without changing the original appearance of it.Got any suggestions for me?Thanks,Speed Monster

Depends on how much money you want to spend...

I'd suggest getting some new wheels and tires - they really help improve the look of any car.

Lower the car. If you're on a budget, use some nice struts and some lower springs. If you don't mind spending a few hundred to a thousand dollars, get coilovers.

Performance? How much do you want? The KA24DE takes well to modification. You're only limited by how much time and money you want to spend. Check out the KA forums we have and do a little research.

Here are some things to consider for cheap, fairly easy, and effective mods:

Suspension and wheels:You've already got new struts, and there's no need to lower the car at your age. Keep your suspension. Get the front strut bar that rotorimp sells on this forum. Get some P11 G20 wheels (they also came on some late model 240SXs). They look like this:

I think you can probably put your existing tires on them, but you'll need to research that yourself.

Performance:5 speed manual transmission swap is probably the best performance upgrade for the money, especially if you do it yourself.

The KA24DE sucks for modification unless you are going turbo. For a bit more power for cheap, get an ebay intake w/ MAF adapter, Apexi 3" cone filter, and have an exhaust shop build you a mandrel-bent 2.5" exhaust with 22" resonator and muffler of your choice. You can put a header on if you want, too, but they can be pretty loud. With all of those, you will lose bottom end to gain top end.

Looks:Clear front turn signals and side markers from ebay, and paint the little gray grilles in the front black.

Xenon front lip: zerothread/193033

Switch the god-awful stock front seats for front seats out of an 89-90 240SX.

Silvia trapezoidal trunk lock.

That's all I can think of.
