Well Im planing on getting my car painted this week. It will cost me a grand for a quality finish, and this is with a good deal. My KA's # 3 cyl. has bad compression (under 90) at idle it causes the car to shake but when you drive its fine. I would like to get it to run right, but the mechanic said it would cost over a grand to fix the head. I would rather put that towards an SR. One thing comes to mind, how much will it cost for a SR, with exhaust and intercooler (if needed) and what is the best place to buy it, thats for a good price and has a good reputation? I can get it painted right now, the motor I dont have quite enough for yet. Lets hear what you guys think.
honestly I think sr's are overrated for what you spend to get one. I would actually rebuild the motor and turbocharge it and you could probably come out at about the same cost and power as an sr. I believe that after the motor, wiring,intercooler, and exhaust you'll have about $4k in a sr. I'm not trying to down a sr but theres nothing wrong with the ka's in our cars except that they didnt come with a turbo.........
