The VA just finished processing my MGIB application, but since my parents locked away my tuition in the 90's, it means money in my pocket. I am having trouble deciding on whether to 1. Invest all the money. 2. Get a more suitable daily driver and invest the rest. 3. Buy a project car. However, if I go with option 2, what do you recommend. I was thinking mid-to-late 90's Camry wagon, Accord wagon, Legacy wagon, Volvo wagon, Protege 5. Basically something practical, safe, easy on gas and have no temptation to mod, other than maybe audio. If I go with option 3, I need to find a suitable platform. I'm trying to decide EG, 1st gen Miata, S13 and Evo 8/9 RS. Basically looking into making a street "legal" car for track days. Any suggestions? I should probably go with 1, but I think I have a disease called carholism or more commonly known as moddiction.

Yeah, I was looking into LS1 FC, but I was looking into LS1 S13 also. That or K24 EG for crazy hybridness. Maybe 240Z + !? I'm just driving myself crazy. FC I'm not sure about, but FD insurance would probably a lot. Same with the Evo, but I'm sure Miata, EG, S13 wouldn't be too bad.

Who says I don't like wagons? ;P If I were to get a daily driver, I'd want something that's not mod-friendly, doesn't have a lot of aftermarket support, roomy, comfortable, easy on gas with a lot of cargo space + roof runners for a snowboard rack aka wagon :P If I were to get a daily driver, the STi would become the project car, if I got a project car, then the STi would be the daily driver. If I can get a rolling EG or S13 near my area, that would be ideal, so I wouldn't have to get insurance until after I get it running and motor would probably be the last thing to go in.
