Alright i just had my taillights "tinted" very dark lol and it doesnt look the way i want it to. so... im looking at getting them redone but i have a few different ideas floating around in my head and just wanted to see your guys opinion of what you think would look good...so... first off they are sanding down the lights to the red. so... im gonna go to a vinyl shop and am gonna get some vinyl cut in these 2 different shapes... anyways... around where the taillight shines i was thinking of getting a circle cut out where the taillight will be dark then the circle outline will be red then the center of the circle would be dark.. and my second idea for that is the same but around the outline of the circle i was gonna put dots every few inches that would be dark. and thats all for around the taillight. then next part is the reverse light. should i do the hole circle leave it red or should i do just the circle idea where theres an outline that is red...

idk if any of that made sense but if it did what do you guys think... want them to be kinda like a gtr...

no... well kinda... there not gonna be a vinyl layover its gonna be painted... but the taillights will have a dark center... like dark taillight-red ring-dark center of ring... either with or with out dark dots in the ring.

Taillight tint is soo hard to work with & I am experienced with vinyl wrapping. To be honest it isn't worth it. The only good thing is that you can remove it. I actually had my taillights and headlights tinted. They were sprayed with a black clear, and are pretty decent. Only issue with the headlights is I had to upgrade to H.I.D.S.

Yah I'm not doing vinyl or tint film... I'm getting them professionally painted but he wants me to get vinyl cut for whatever I want to be red so all he has to do is put it on then spray the tiny then peel off the vinyl and then clear it...

Darker tail lights look nice in my opinion. Gives it a different look as long as they are not exaggerated and super black!

I personally never liked the GTR style layovers, or paint. Unless you are looking straight at it back to front it looks off because the lens over the lights is on an angle. IMO, go straight coverage.

^ This. Straight coverage or keep it red. And if you have a dark colored car, then keep it red.

I disagree, it may be something you dont like. But I love my super black coupe and those glossy black tail lights. Best/cheapest 48hrs and money I've spent on a mod.

IMO tint and overlays are a waste. Red tails, clear heads, and fishbowl is just the cleanest look.

Save money and effort to where it can actually make a difference in performance.

I actually like the super gloss black on black once in a while. But the car still needs like chrome emblems to set off from the all black. Some guy in my area has a g coupe with glossy black tails and chrome wheels and it definitely stands out.
