Sorry i would have tried using the search button but i didnt have time to be looking a topic on this. But my is, is it possible for a couple of guys to pick up a KA24DE motor off the floor and put it in a truck. i dont know if the transmission is with it either. or would i need a cherry picker for that ?And am not stealing seombodys motor......because my friend has had his KA motor sitting in a parking lot structure in a apt. building. and i guess the lanlord wants him to get it out of there or he will throw it away. he has until friday to get it out of there. So he asked if i wanted it and i was like sure its for free right. so if you guys could help me out i would appreciate thanksRichard

It took three people to lift a ka24 when I bought one. It was really hard to do but it can be done. but if it has the transmission atached I would count on moving it with out a cherry picker.

Motor alone 2 people is possible, but I've only done it with another guy who is kinda large and myself. So size of the people is a factor. I'd say 3 people shouldn't be too bad.

If transmission is on it, take it off. A transmission is a single person job, maybe 2 if its auto (those are heavy).

Yes they are. 5-speed transmission is probably only about 60lbs, but the engine with all the accessories should be 450 or so. Iron ain't nuttin to fawk wit.
