Hi all ! I just bought 1991 Nissan 240 sx hatchback 5 speed, 143 miles, KA24DE. When i bought this car from mechanic he told me it needs a headgasket. I towed it to my friends auto shop they said that is not a head and they changed 3 injectors. The car was running fine for like 2 weeks until i made a trip to another city and on the way back it started to overheat i left the car to a local mechanic he changed water pump thermostat, cluch fan and bleed coolant system. i made back home and after 3 days car started to overheat again.i took it again to my friend shop (i thought it was head gasket for sure) i explain to them that when im going on highway doing like 70 mph car temp is almost fine but when i stopped its start going up. they fixed and told me it had air pocket and cluch fan was bad.( alright but previous guy did the same!. after they worked on a car i drove it for 2 days more and guess what ? its started to overheat again. Please any suggestions. i think its a headgasket.

in truth id say if theres no smoke and it doesnt smell off liek an oil gas mix then its propably not the head gasket if anything id try checking the radiator fans and work from the cheapest easiest fix up to the harder more expensive problems....just what id do but if it doesnt smoke ect then i dont see it being a headgasket unless its just got a small fracture in it and not completley gone yet...
