Hi there. this is my first post on nicoclub.com ! I figured this was the place for my Nissan questions, I am relatively new to the import car scene (if you will) I am switching over from the street bike scene. I have never owned a Silvia before and have never owned a turbo charged motor. I have found this place to where I that sell lots of different RHD vehicles, and have really been drawn to this 98 Silvia, I was hope that I could get some opinions on this car. I know its hard because you cant see it or anything like that but there are a fair amount of pictures and a short video as well! having said that, in the video, when the guy starts it up there is there weird really short 'squeal' just wondering if anyone knows that sound ? turbo related? belt? not sure . thanks in advance everyone! really appreciate it.

Anyways, I'm willing to bet its probably a belt. Turbo's usually don't "squeal"

Car looks clean enough. That squeal is just a belt that needs adjustment. The only thing I'd be leery of is that the car has had work done on it. Check for obvious signs of abuse.

Cool, thanks man. So you just think its belt adjustment. Simple enough! Thanks for the help, it's a few 100km away from my place so I think go check it out this weekend! Any really common known problems or things to keep an eye out for?
