why did you have the cluster out of the dash?

not sure about moving the milage, I think the drill would be the best options, 7 km in 3 minutes sounds pretty decent, how many miles are on the car? a corded drill will generally spin faster than a cordless and many have a trigger lock

I've got a digital dash from a 83 S130 that's been sitting around, it worked when I pulled it what, 10 years ago. Dunno what it's be worth.

why did you have to get to the back of the speedometer? just trying to fidn the source problem that caused you to have to pull the cluster, the analog's aren't prone to failure

basically the gray piece speed senor i think, the cable hooks on to has a ring to hold it from falling out of the speedometer housing, this ring must have snapped somehow
