Hello Folks!

This one is for all the 240 buffs out there.

I drive a 98 240sx SE and I'm looking into buying some wheels n tires before the summer is over. I've been browsing around for wheels and found out I know next to nothing about what sizes to look for. For instance I know my wheels have 5 lugs but beyond that I'm clueless.

:dunce

I've got my heart set on 17" wheels. What information do I need to know before I commit to a specific set?

If I was to get 16" wheels would that pose a problem to the 300z brake calipers and rotors I'd like to put on in the future?

Thanks alot in advance for any help you might be able to lend

well your care has 16" wheels that clear 300zx calipers NOW....

Im sure theres plenty of other ways to spend the money on stickier tires for your stock wheels, on power upgrades and stuff before buying larger wheels, esspecially sicne the stock SE alloys are 16" and fit over the 30mm Z brakes.-chet

Thanks for the info.

a little more of an explination on specs and sizes would be nice. to give me an idea of what to look for.

will all aftermarket 16's fit 300zx breaks?

I am kinda running out of good mod ideas for N/A power. Soon I will be getting an ASP crank pulley, possibly a header. I dont want to go turbo yet, b/c i think it would be a good idea to rebuild and stregnthen my KA (100k+) before I mess with that.

In the mean time, I would really like to have some nice 16in or 17in aftermarket wheels. My stock wheels are old and wore out looking.

I know tires are important, I will cross that bridge when I get there.
