Welcome to NICO, Alexpjohn!

What do you mean by a vin check? In RI, we have a vin check with the local PD to determine if the car was stolen or something (no idea, its a silly concept), but I'm not sure what you're after since your location isn't listed.

Just so you know - as I understand it, for folks who have a individual Carfax subscription, the terms of service do not allow them to check random VIN's for other people.

These folks can lose their subscriptions as a result of doing this (and Carfax does check our forums and others for this) ... so, I'd suggest getting a dealer to do the check for you, they have the ability to do multiple searches without this limitation.

If you're really interested in buying that 2007 Infiniti FX35, then pony up the money for a vehicle history report. Save yourself $15 and order it from AutoCheck rather than Carfax. Just be aware that these reports don't always tell you everything about the car your inquiring about.
