Hi Everyone, If someone could tell me or had the same problems, please, let me know what is going on.I got 2007 G35 sedan. I have to say excellent car til now. Driving as usually, no hard stuff. There is something going on with automatic transmission of the car. Couple of weeks ago I noticed that to go reverse the gear does not respond as soon as I shift it into reverse. I had to accelerate a bit harder to get response. Now the reverse is gone at all. Does not want to go backward at all only forward. All gears forrward works perfect only reverse is gone.Fluid was topped off, car has only 20 000 miles, so what the heck.

I unddrstand that propably I will have to visit Infiniti Service but..

Does anybody can help or know what the problem might be???

Thanks

Take it to the dealer...

Problem solved. You're still under warranty and you get a loaner. Why would you hesitate?

It's a bit more complicated than that. But yes that is what I am planning to do, just hope that I will not hear from them that they need to change the transmission or something like that. It would be good to know something about it.Car was not bought new but as a used car.

Why would you not want a new transmission? To me if I had an unknown set of conditions I would want to have them based lined to a known set of condtions. A new transmission would do just that in that catagory.

Hopefully the warranty transferred when you purchased the car. I bought mine from a dealer so had the balance of the warranty available.

Do not drive the car any more than you need too. The fact that you have lost the reverse gear indicates that you have a low gear apply issue and/or blockage of the apply piston. It's not going to last long.
