I would like to turbo my ka24de. But i have no idea what i need so it will run properly you know not cutting out and that sort. Any advice on if i need to put other parts on motor so it can handle the boost or if it can take it stock? Or should i just get an rb25det or a sr20det or even a rb26dett.

Search, I know it's been covered. Look at KA-T build threads.
Think about it, you'll need a better fuel system and air system to run top notch. Not cheap or easy. If your looking for reliable, go SR20DET, they came stock turbo'd so it is somewhat reliable.

With a good tune, Ka-t can be very reliable.

Is the price the reason that people say sr20 or is the rb prone to break.

none of them are prone to problems. if you build a s*** "insert engine here" it will be s***. you need to do lots of research and learning first before even attempting anything of this caliber. sure, you are asking questions, but you seem like you are ready to jump in and all that will do is cost you money and problems. if you want something cheap and easy, do a SR20 swap and call it a day. KA-T requires "building" of the engine if you want it to be reliable. you can just throw a SR20 in it and drive it.

a reliable KA24DET or KA24ET is going to expensive.
As they say:
Reliable
Fast
Cheap

Pick two.
I heard it on these forums before.

Op, this is a really silly thread. There's really no such thing as "the best motor". Pick one, build it right, and have fun.
