Need turbo help plz???

whats up everbody!! i need some help? My turbo is going out on my rb20 .so what cheap turbo can i use? i heard good stuff about the hx35 but what do i have to do to use it tho.cause i dont have alot of money to dump in the motor.plz help me thaxs

If you don't have a grand or more to spend, go with a stock RB turbo. I have a RB25 turbo with out an actuator. You could slap yours onto it and have a decent little upgrade.

I can spend over a grand. i just dont want to put new piston,rods,crank chaftand etc.The rb25 turbo how much differnt am i going to fell and how much u want for it.

i dno about over there but in new zealand u can get a brand new dsr T3T4 T04E turbo for 500$ NZD and has a year waranty

R u runing it on ur rb20.and what else do u have on it.

i run dsr t3t4 on standard manifold with a turbosmart 38mm externy on it.3inch turbo back exhaust.2.5inch intercooler piping.truck intercooler.front facing plenum.walbro fuel pump etc etc

what injectors are you using and what cam, did you change any of the internals?

nope standard ecu and standard internals and cams....have the ignition timing set to 15 degree btdc and standard injectors...theyre good for 200kw

if u get a DSR T3T4 shiped over to america from NZ get them to send u a DSR 38mm wastegate with it and drill a hole in the standard manifold and weld the wastey on and have a screamer pipe on it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just done a convertion from NZD to USD and 500 NZD is only 336.05 USD...and it comes with a year waranty too!!!!

If I were you!! I wouldn't slap any turbo except for the RB25 turbo on without a Tuned ECU.

The car would also run better with the RB25 and tuned ECU.

You could get that RB25 turbo for a decent price then chip the ecu and get some rx7 injectors all for under a thousand.

Awesome response, but its not gonna destroy a vette anytime soon though.You could probably get like 275whp with that setup.

I was looking for $185 shipped with out the elbow and $200 with. Email about it if you want though. I don't want to whore this thread up.
