I'm new to the site, but didn't find any info on this through searching. I've started doing the maintenance on my g/f's altima. The last shop that touched the tires torqued them down to the point of mushrooming several lugs and cross-threaded 2 as well.

I ended up snapping a rear wheel stud/hub bolt, and one of the fronts is surely going to snap if I try to remove it.

How hard is it to replace these? Do you simply disassemble the brake assembly, pound the old one out, slide the new one in, and pull it through by putting a lug on it? Does it require use of a shop press or any other specialty tools?

Just trying to get an idea of the work so that I don't have any surprises when I get in there.
