Need to replace seats in my 240SX
The original driver and passenger seats in my 89 240SX broke. I was told that if I could find the original stocks seats they would just bolt right back in so I called the auto recyclers listed in the phone book but came up empty. I've looked at racing seats and the most affordable semi-decent seats I could find are APC. They come w/ a universal slider and bracket but I'm certain that they will need to be modified. I have yet to find a body shop that will even install these seats for me if I decide to get them. The places that sell these seats don't even have anyone they can refer me to. If anyone has installed APC or any other racing seats into an 89 240SX I would appreciate your advice. Thanks.

I asked for seats for a 240SX in general. One auto recycler only had the passenger seat and another had a pair in grey leather for $500. I am not a fan of leather and for that price I would rather get newer cloth seats. I've read a few reviews on the internet and 2 out of 3 people shared rather bad experiences about installing APC seats. I don't know very much about cars and hoped that someone would be able to share some advice with me. The car belonged to my boyfriend and it was his fix up project. He passed away earlier this year and I recently paid off what was owing on the car and took possession of it. Everyone says that I should just sell it but I am holding onto it for sentimental reason. The driver seat broke while he was driving the car. He tried to put the passenger seat in it's place and it broke at the same place too. The garage I took it to wasn't very familiar with Nissans and couldn't weld it back together.
