need to replace a solenoid, but i don't know what it's called

on my ka24e under the throttle body, just above and to the right of the oil filter there is a solenoid attached to a bracket with one bolt. it has a vacuum hose connected on top and on the bottom are two hoses. one runs sideways and the other connects downwards. also, there is a black fitting for something to plug into. i need to know what this is so i can replace it because one of the vaccum attachments has broken off and is stuck in the hose.

i tried to put a picture of it in another post, "egr code after catback install", but i don't think the picture loaded properly and i don't have my digi cam with me

unfortunately i dont have a ka24e manual here at my home. can you tell me where the vacuum hoses go? if you take the part off and go to the dealer the parts guy can pull up the picture for you and maybe match up a part number too.

get the parts number... why didn't i think of that. good idea, i'll pull it out tomorrow and find out what the part is. thanks

the part number is K5T46171, i couldn't find what it is online, but i'm still looking.

unfortunately that is not a nissan p/n. thats a manufacturer p/n.

i pulled the part out and the only other number i found was 8811. still don't know what it is, but i also found the plug that goes into it. the spring on the clip is missing

can anyone help me with this? there's a picture of it right here http://www.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=81624. it's the piece above the hose i'm holding. also, that hose belongs on the bottom of that piece and the there's a cable that suppose to plug into it, but the clip is broken

ok, i got my hands on the single sohc 240sx fsm at my shop. that is the egr solenoid.

thanks alot for the help, i guess i better buy one so i can pass smog. and now i know what's causing the egr code
