Hey guy's I'm New to the forum and wanted to ask a question. I have had my 93 vert for about a year now and had been using it as a dailey driver until I got something to replace it with which ended up being 90 Subaru Legacy L. Just got thru replacing the HG's on it and got it on the road last week and it has finally become project time for me. My question is...is there any good sources for used vert parts??? I'm in need of several switches panels and etc. When I was using the Legacy forums several of the guys on there dealt in used parts and were very reasonable on their prices, which helped me alot. Any info would be appreciated.

My intentions for my car include a s-15 front end conversion with a kit to be named later and of course a sr20det with the new 6 spd trans. I'm looking to gather most of the parts over the next 6 mos or so and start on it fresh in the spring but I will be trying to get alot of the misc. interior bugs worke dout on it in the meantime.

Thanks for the help and pics will be coming as I go.

Vert specific parts are not easy to come by. You have to check here(vert forum), eBay and junkyard often. As far as conversion parts go, you can try sponsors and importers with good reputation. 6 mo should be enough time to collect all the parts. But man... it'll cost a lot. I'm in the middle of some small upgrades and man... I'm telling you, 240 is a money pit.

JBV - Welcome aboard!

You're in the right place - Keep an eye on 240sxConvertible.com for convertible-specific parts.

Also, stay in touch with Bart (tenkawa_akito) and Seth (Eikon), your convertible forum Moderators - They're a HUGE wealth of information.

If you can put together a list of parts you're needing, we can start helping you find them.

Welcome Jett!

Glad to have you on board. Let us know if there's anything we can help with.

Finding replacement parts for 'vert is no easy task!

Here are a few places you can keep an eye on to hopefully track down parts.

1.) NICOclub. We have a classifieds thread within the 'vert forum. We also have a HUGE classifieds forum that you'll see 'vert stuff show up in now and then.

2.) Ebay. I usually search '240sx convertible' on Ebay every couple days just to see what's out there.

3.) Nissan dealership. Many of the parts that are unique for the 'vert are no longer in production. But, you can find a few things through Nissan. I can't promise you they will be reasonably priced though..

4.) http://www.car-parts.com This is a great website! It's a link for all the salvage yards nationwide. They list up their parts on this database. What I usually do is search for 'convertibe top pump' or something like that. The idea is to find yards that have a 'vert on their lot. Once you've found a car.. you can then pinpoint and ask for specific peices from that car.

Post your list of parts that you need as a WTB (want to buy) in the "trading post" on the top of the 'vert section. We'll keep our eyes out for you and hopefully find a few parts.

Thanks for the BIG Welcome Guys. I'll start putting together that list soon and Post it up. Any help on it would be appreciated. As it stands that is my back burner project so it'll be slow going. My main project is to get the cash together and equipment to start a tire shop. My wife and I currently own the building our Tanning and Video store are in and there is a 2400sq ft building beside me I'm wanting to buy to use for storage and a tire shop which will eventually work its way into small repairs and stuff i.e. brakes, exhaust, oil changes, etc. with at least 2 lifts to start and 4 by the end of the first year. I've got to go back to work fulltime for awhile to get up the extra cash but it'll all be worthit in the end. Thanks again for the welcome see you guys when I can.

Scott
