need to know somthing (transmission question)

I just got 2 axels replaced and 1 night my speedometer started acting wacky I had it in cruise control and it started going up and down then the car stopped moving.

I was told by a mechanic that my axle popped out so i got it fixed then the the speedometer started doing it again and I was hearing the clicking noise that you hear when your axle is going

then the mechanic said my transmission is probably going and was going to need a new 1 now the question i have is this

can a transmission make my axle popped out

and if so is it fixable within the same transmission or do i really need a new one.

sombody help me out here.

They are connected. If the connection is bad, sure. Though it seems to me that the joint would actually be at fault. I'd get that checked before I ditched the whole transmission.

Hi, I've seen this B4! The Problem could B that it's the Wrong Axle, Some Aftermarket Axles R 2 short or 2 Long!Mainly on Nissans.Also the circlip that holds the Axle in could B wrong-weak.Was the Speedo OK B 4 the Axles were done? What Year is Your Car? It could Be a Bad Gear in the speedo housing (in the transmission) if it has a cable driven speedo the cable& or the Speedo Head could B @ Fault.depending on year & model it could B a Speed Sensor Also?
