can i use a DOHC engine block on a SOHC motor?? Reason is ive found a DOHC block and i need it for my SOHC. Let me know!!

But this is assuming you really are asking can you use a dohc engine block with a sohc head, rotating assembly so on.

Yes, i am rebuilding my built, high compression SOHC after blowing the head gasket, and i need a new block since i have some wicked pitting in the cylinder walls. So i am asking if the DOHC engine block is basically interchangeable with the SOHC engine block, and if not, what are the differences?

There are quite a few differences, only a couple people have ever put a DOHC head on a SOHC block, I've never heard of it the other way around and even that took lots of money and machine work.

Just find a SOHC block to go with the SOHC head.

seriously just find a new block they're cheap and usually easy to find
hell if your in so cal i can find you a complete single cam for like $100 it still runs too got pulled out of my friends car he got rear ended

I cant bore it out and still reuse my custom made high compression pistons. That is why i need another block. And they arent exactly a dime a dozen in the New Orleans area.
