Has anyone had a automatic trans rebuilt by transmissionplanet.com ? OR do you have any suggestions on a trans shop in central ohio? This is the wifes daily driver. No high performance needed. Thanks, mike

I made the mistake of having mine rebuilt by a small-time local shop here in SLC and they bungled it big time. The car never felt right again, even now, 70,000 miles later (geez...it's been that long...). Part of that is the shift kit/valve body upgrade the shop installed with the rebuild to increase longevity, but much of it is just...inadequate work.

Just make sure you go somewhere with a GOOD warranty that will guarantee not just their work, but your satisfaction as well. It's worth it to pay more up front to guarantee a good rebuild. Especially if the alternative is having the car back in the shop multiple times afterward to try and get it feeling right again like I did.

Have read about 50+ pages in maxima forum and can't get any ideas on reliable trans rebuilders. Any one dealt with Ammco with nissan auto trans? ANY and all responses would be greatly appreciatted. thanks, mike
