Hey guys, ok so my car is starting to lean and ride horrible. Pretty much when I put 2 people in the back and hit a bump, it feels like their is metal to metal, and sounds like it.

I am thinking I need new struts and springs, but I would like to lift the truck a bit, maybe 2 inches or so. I just want it for the look as I will be doing no offroading, unless you count a couple of curbs :chuckle: I am not rich so I dont want to go crazy, but a nice decent lift and I guess shocks, what and where do I get it and what do you think I am looking at?? I have tried to do a search, but nothing seems to come up anymore like before.

I have a 2004 Pathfinder Le, I love my car, but I might be getting a sponsorship for 18" wheels, and a lift is a must they said, just a little one, so I can put bigger tires and the fact that I really need the ride to go back to normal.

I've been looking for lift kits for the Pathfinder just out of curiousity, but they seem kinda hard to find. If you do find a complete kit, it shouldn't be too expensive since its only a 2 inch lift. It will definately give the truck a better stance if you get it though.

Yeah, their have been alot of people that get kits here, just hope theyll chime in. The problem I hear is going over like 2 inches, b/c the truck doesnt like it too much.

Help us out guys, we def need to rep the R50's and my platinum edition will look gorgeous.

Try searching, there's tons of threads on lifting R50's and compatible tire sizes.

Empty, already said I tried that, their is like a new search engine in place and I couldnt pull up the old threads. Regardless, looks like your car is lifted, anyway maybe you can throw a suggestion on where and what to get if its not to much trouble instead of telling me to search. It would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I didn't know the search engine is down, must have missed that part. Your easiest option for a 2"+/- lift is changing out the coil springs. Check out Rugged Rocks Off-Road and 4x4 Parts. Rugged sells OME(Old Man Emu) coils (I've got the 922 HD coils) and 4x4 sells AC coils. Right now I'm trying to find which will give more lift and it looks like the AC might. But, I bet they will wear out quicker and loose their retention which means eventually ride height will drop slightly. Regardless both coils will have a settling time. While your at it change out to KYB GR-2 Struts and some 5100 Bilstein shocks. and when you change out the struts get some Nissan OEM strut bearings/tower mounts because the KYB ones are garbage. It also couldn't hurt if you threw in some Nx4 1" billet aluminum strut spacers.

don't be worried and just do it. That's my daily. Doing about 30,000 km a year, it's at 205,000 km on this picture. You'll learn a great deal and be proud of your rig.

This setup is with the AC coils lift (4)
GR-2 struts
Rancho rs9000xl for the rear
265/75r16 firestone destination m/t
some trimming needed to be done for the fron lower bumper and removed the rear mud flaps.

then, the bug will hit you, and before you know it, you'll be dropping money in it for more modifs...hahahaha

Yeah, I am more used to the sports car market. I am going to be purchasing a 370z, but I would like to treat the pathfinder since I have to get a new suspension setup anyways. I was looking on 4x4parts and it looks like they have suspension packages for my year, and model with the 2" lift. You think its a good idea to just go with one of these packages https://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/199620 ... 8_443.html

i think it's a bad idea to give 4x4Parts more money than you need to.

i just bought the coils from them. i bought the Bilstein 7100 rear shocks from eBay.com, the KYB GR2 struts and hardware from rockauto.com, and the strut alignment bolts locally from O'Reilly's. 4x4Parts is a shady company with horrible customer service in my experience.

this is my Pathy with the AC lift on 33in tires. the front sits a bit low (compared to other Pathfinders with the same lift) due to the 200lb winch/bumper combo.

I have to agree with Alex, A.C. also has a pretty high markup on their stuff. You can find much better prices looking elsewhere.

did you not read my post? i got the struts and hardware from rockauto.com, the shocks from ebay.com, and the coils from 4x4parts.com. i got my camber bolts locally, but you can also get them online at autozone.com, or wherever you please. it doesn't take a rocket scientist.

Could some one please explain to me why a 1998 nissan pathfinder chilkoot edt doesnt exist? Ever dealer i go to tells me that there are no parts and no option for my pathy to be modded. I see lots of options for 1997 but never 1998, I would really like it if someone knew why.

your 98 is no different than the 97... the platform (suspension) is the same from 96 to 2004. There is not a lot of mod for our truck simply because we are not a lot who actually ride them offroad. Having no frame does not help either, but then again, the Jeep xj has no frame either but has a lot of aftermarket parts available...

go to 4x4parts and you will see mods available for your truck...use the search button.....

Doubt you'll get a response from Alex, but it's an ARB bumper. Well constructed, but a little pricey. My buddy bought that bumper off him last year.
