need to find build up parts

I'm trying to rebuild/Build a CA for 300-350HP but having troubles finding some pistons to overbore the ca to 1.9, I think its 84mm? Ive found some 83.5mm but thats it. Also looking for strong headgasket to hold 20+ PSI and Top mount T3 externally gated manifold. I want to get those plus a engine rebuild kit like bearings, water pump, oil pump, timing belt… Trying to do this with $1500.

Well bro, $1500 won't quite cut it. And what's wrong with your CA that you need to bore it out?

Don't know if theres anything wrong with the CA, Its still on a boat from Japan... Reason for overbore; I would like to get a little more TQ out of it (more displacment more TQ or no?) the Manifold is my biggest concern right now. Know where I can get one?

Why bother a perfect bore? Just boost the hell out of it. And if you want to go to a CA19, you may as well go for a CA20. If you're looking for 300-350hp, the stock CA18DET will accomodate you. If you want torque, you may want to be looking at boosting your KA.

If you're going to be using a T3 or better and want a manifold, you need to determine what kind of wastegate you want to use. If you want one done soon, i can possibly assist you because i'm having a few made which includes one for a fellow board member. Let me know, but do it soon.

I will be using a 38MM Tial wastegate...

Can you bore more than 84mm, or is this the max before interfering w/ water passages?

Some of the crazies on http://www.sxoc.com (european forum) have done 84.5 I think... I'm only planning on 84 myself tho, but with 9.5:1 pistons..

i got JE pistons from TopEndPerformance.com i think i *may* have the part numbers on file. they were on the box they came in and that all went by my friends garage.

but i KNOW JE has them on file so you can just call em up and ask for it, and then go through a distributor.

when i had ordered mine i got some psecs for the JUN super pistons for the CA (gods knows where from now) and i sent it to Steve at TopEnd and he passed it onto JE. so hopefully they will be using some of the specs.
