WEll hopfully ill be getting this job that i applied for. If i get it i have some choices on what to do. I got offered a 89 Coupe with a blown KA for $500. This car is 5sp baseline nice as hell. Now I could take this money use it for paint on Ol Red or keep saving and get a LSD or Siliva front for Ol Red. My last option is to put all my money into my 83 Sentra and get her back to her glory. If i got the coupe i would be swapping my motor into it, since my KA24E only has about 20K on the rebuild.What should i do with my money???

I wouldn't put a dime into the Sentra if it runs. Run it til it dies.

Why can't you drop the low-mileage KA into the 89 coupe? Sell whatever else you own and put the $$$ into fixing up the 89.

Hehe shes cool with it. The Sentra needs a timing belt right now. But i think it would make greater car if it was one colour (what the hell am i talking about ive been driving a red and gold 240 for the last year) I want to restore the Sentra but thats gona take ALOT of money since shes got some rust.

:D or you can buy that nice blue 240 coupe se that is a 5spd and I test drove the thing today and it runs awesome. I went around a curve squalling tires hehehe passed a cop running 40 in a 30zone......its the one you took pic of mark. I test drove a white automatic coupe as well, it ran good but not like the 5spd of course.

I thought you said though you were going to buy that car and change the motors in it since the only thing wrong with it is a blown motor. I like that car too.

Well thats the thing. You were probley to drunk to see the big *** dent in behind the Drivers Rear wheel when you saw Ol Red. The coupe has NO dents are body damage. Im gona buy the coupe no matter what.

swap the motor from ole red into the coupe (coupes are better anyway). the only good thing about the hatchback is you could put the silvia front and put the Kouki tails on. those things are orgasmic. sil80's rule!!!! so i didn't really give you a definate answer on what to do did i. hmm......just find another panel for ole red, and make her a sil80 :D

Sounds like old Red is your least expensive choice. That's what I'd do. Ol Red will run without new pairnt or Silvia front, or dent repair. Key is to save your money until you're back on your feet. If something else unfoseen happens after you blow all your money on one of the other options, how will you pay for it? I'd suggest saving. Good luck

OK new option that i forgot about. Theres a guy around here with a 90% restored 1976 MGB. All it needs are seats/dash and paint. He wants $2200 for it. IF i could save up the $1200 and sell red for at least $1000 i would buy it. Remebering driving it now. One word WOW

DON"T DO IT. As fun as MGB's are, they notorious for their lack of reliability. Fun to drive, and sound great, but they're a repair bill waiting to happen. You will need a second car as an MGB will not make it as a daily driver. It will quickly use up your spare cash in repairs if you try it. MGB is a weekend car at best. Grreat car if you like to tinker

MGB = POS

British & Italian cars in general (the affordable ones) are notoriously difficult to keep roadworthy.
