Ok guys i need your expertise on tires my nico buddys!

The tire size is 215/40/17.

I need to buy two rear tires and i want to get your opinion on which one is better and which i should get!

If your willing to also explain why the tire is better please do, For example: Treadwear is better, handling, noise.. blah blah blah. Im open to all comments! Thank you!

Oh and i want Ultra High Performance All Seasons!

If you want to add more choices to the poles you can and please my budget is 90 on each tire.

Oh and please remember that i need these tires to be Under $90 each! Again the size is 215/40/17. So the Falken Azenis are out of the picture, unless someone can get them for that price. lol. I WISH i could get those tires.

have you checked out tire rack? they allow you to compare tires side by side, and read peoples opinion on tires. also they usually do their own testing on tires using bmw three series comparing them to other tires using the same tire dimensions within the same tire class on the same car. they have the three tire companies you mentioned. thats where i go to compare tires.

hey man, if treadwear isn't too big of a concern, i suggest the federal ss595............the price is right as they are 70 bux for that size. and it just so happens, one of our sponsors has a sale on em. check the advertiser's section.

personally tho, i ran falken azeni st115's and loved every bit of em. now im on kuhmo mx's so we will see how they turn out. also dont forget the hankook ventus r2 something. they are also under 80 bux i think at http://www.edgeracing.com

good luck with ur decision.

Yes sir i have checked out tire rack. Thats where i got my choices and prices for the tires. So far Continental is 4th in the list for tires that are 90 bucks or cheaper they are 1st.

Personally treadwear will be important to me b/c i use my 240 as a daily driver and i need them to last as long as possible but also to be a good tire.

I was looking into the azenis to buy but that is for later on when i get more money. If i get the azenis ill be using them only for the autocross not on the street since the treadwear is not that great but i hurd they were awesome tires for autox.

Again though im looking for tires 90 or less. Thanks a lot for your help!

You're in Fl, so you might be able to get away with these all season if you don't mind dropping to a 205. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...ace=0

I have this tire on the MG and it's awesome, esp for the price. Definately not a snow tire, but excellent wet and dry traction. Again, for the price, I don't think it can be beat. It's also highest rated on tirerack.

May I suggest Advans. Yokohama just recently brought over some tires that were only exclusive to Japan. I plan to go with the Advan S.4 for my 16"s next year (depending if anyone wants to buy my Potenza RE750's).

As far as the Kumho ASX on your list, I'd stay away, they have spotty quality. My mother in law had one of her ASX's on her Scion TC randomly blow on her on the highway and the tires were only 2wks old. Not good.

Another tire to consider that's very good and well-priced is the Avon M550 a/s. I have a co-worker w/ Scion TC and she asked me what tires to get and I told her to go with the Avon's and her's have been fine. The tread pattern is way better too, better water channels.

Considering you have 17's and a tight budget I'd go w/ the Avon M550's all the way.

I'd take a hard look at the Avon M550's I mentioned, read the reviews/ratings on them on TireRack, they make an all-season and a summer version.

I see that the Avon's are ranked pretty high. I meant to say that i saw them at 103 bucks a piece at Tire Rack.

What about the General Exclaim UHP? They ranked first at Tire Rack in the Ultra High Performance Summer list and they only cost me like 74 bucks each with the size i want!

Like I said, I run 'em on the MG and they work great! Don't drive 'em on snow (shouldn't be an issue for you) but otherwise they're an excellent value.

The 550 are all season, which is tire manufacuter's euphemism for compromised summer tire and not very good winter tire. Compare to teh Tech M500 summer tire. Not a bad tire for the price. Not a PS2 nor an F1.
