Need to decide between 2 cars

I want to get either a 91-93 240SX or a 89-92 Mustang 5.0L.For me here, its a choice of either looks or speed.What should i go?The mustang its fast stock, and has potential to get really fast. But the 240sx has the nicer sporty look and is a bit cheaper on gas.Which car do you think chicks will dig?

ok, by posting in a Nissan forum, I will be surprised if anyone tells you to get the stang.

That said, the stang will be faster stock, but it won't handle anything like a 240. I'd definately take the 240, if for no other reason than reliability.

Mustangs do turn like crap and eat alot of gas.Theres alot more to a car than going in a straight line.

The stang is a very fast stock and has a reliable 5.0 motor. I have never really heard anything bad about those motors. But the rest of the cars deteriorate after prolonged periods of time. They get terrible gas mileage "respectfully compared to a s13/s14, and the insurance would be substantially higher also compared to a 240sx.

The 240sx has a great torque driven motor with great reliability. Normal oil changes and radiator flushes and you are pretty much set. The suspension of the 240sx is one of the best around for a car in our price range! Ins. is cheap and affordable and there is also just the best thing IMHO is that they are DIFFERENT.

Hmmm....choose between a smooth turd (240) or a lumpy one (stang).

The 5.0 you mentioned isn't a bad looking ride to me and it is powerful as hell compared to the anemic b****-like turd40. Not to mention that the 91 240 looks a hell of a lot liek a 91 Ford probe. So lets say you are chosing between two fords anyway. If you are under the age of 18 buy the turd40 because you can't handle the 5.0. If your balls have dropped get the stang and leave the 240 for the driver's ed classes.

yes. very good reasons :rolleyes

both vehicles have great potential. 5.0's have an extensive line of handling parts (they're used a LOT in solo 1 and II) and 240's... well.. i don't even have to go there.

Well, the 'Stang is much quicker in a straight line than a 240. They also handle pretty well, just not as crisply as a 240.But a Moostang's downside is that it's built cheaply, they're unreliable, suck a lot more gas compared to a 240, and probably cost a little more to insure. In addition mullets are encouraged for mustang ownership.

As far as which would more attractive to women. Depends on the woman and what you do to your car. Stock, it would be a toss up. But if you rice-a-roni up either with obnoxious wings, scoops, decals, etc, all you'll attract are teenaged boys, not girls.

basically all i gotta say (cause everything else has already been said) is that the 240 is more rare and looks alot better IMO. mustangs sound good, some look good, they are quick, but the 240 looks better, can be alot faster, and have much better handling (especially outa the box). get the 240. better gas mileage too.

now i don't like mustangs but there is no reason the make fun of mullets, one day i will grow one, the mullet or 1090 ( 10% in the front 90% in the back) is a great haircut, business in the front, party in the back

as for the choices, please, take the 240, the mustang is an unreliable peice of ****, you'll spend more on repairs than on the car, just remeber....

ok this 240 owner is fixing to say something good about mustangs the year's your looking at the the 302 has forged internals so that makes it a good thing and as unreliable thats bullshiat the foxbody stang is the best looking imo but the problem with owning a stang is the transmission the T5 transmission is shiat and will need to be replaced and then you need to go to at least a tremec, TKO, or if you want a 6 speed go with the T56 which is a a great transmission but you will need to go up in those rear gears to maintain the great acceleration those cars have

But seriously... my buddy has a 89 GT and that **** is quick and has good suspension. But the motors suck. He blew his motor and transmission. They arent reliable
