Hi all,

Pretty new here but have posted once or twice. I was wondering if this upper link for the 300zx on ebay will work for my 94 Q45a (non-active now). I have a slight camber issue both front and rear after installing my Calif. Custom Springs. I must say you all have been a great resource for my conversion to standard. I need tires soon and wanted to correct the camber problems before I destroy a set of tires.

Thanks,

Chan

Read Elwesso's set-up in his posts as I think he is the only one to do both front and back with aftermarket ZX parts.

You can shim the upper link strut mount per Q45tech's posts if you want to use OEM upper links.

Heck, I can't find any posts about shimming the upper link brackets...I have the feeling I won't be using the Cali-Customs if I have to go thru a bunch of BS to get a decent alignment....

My Parts should be here on the 7th, for all 4 shock replacement...

I believe SPL adjustable links are what we "CC riders" need.

Meaux - don't know if you've driven a CC lowered G50 but the ride is not what it is hyped to be IMHO (as in NOT anywhere like a BMW). My passengers are visibly jostled during normall driving. I think this is out of character for a car like the G50.

I think that is the second opinion I've read like this. Maybe not so cool for the over 21 crowd?

Meaux, there is a tutorial on searching, but look in Infiniti General for a post baout the old Yahoo Group from which this board emerged. Tehre is an attached file of Q45tech posts that should be mandatory reading before any new member is allowed to post.

There is also a search tutorial hidden away somewhere. Did you serach on the word camber in the text body in both archived and recent posts here and in Infiniti Online Mechanic?

Since we know that the third link/kingpin assembly eventually gives up [or get bent from miles/impacts], why not change them both [sides] along with the upper links and lower links......that way every CAMBER CONTROLLING thing is brand new before you shim the upper link mount to correct for shock tower bending.

All new parts should return the alignment to as new, until things bend again.
