need to check on something j30 diff related

Im looking at a j30 diff to buy. I need to know what i need to bolt it right up and in to my s13. from the sounds of things from what ive read if i have the pumpkin im better off right? It means i just need to swap the covers, and if it is the wrong year i need the output shafts(also known as axles) right? I also read something about diff bushings. Do i even need them for a j 30 into an s13. And if its just the gears sans pumpkin what do i need then?? i have no idea. I looked for a while last night i am just uncertian on a couple of things and would like reassurance please.

For the diff bushings go to Home Depot and get some washers(about 2 or 3 for each side so 4-6 washers) that will fit around the circle part of each side of the diff with some long bolts. $3 . I did that with mine and it has been fine. Making close to 300ATW with no problems.
