need to buy a new screen!!!

he everyone,

i just had a couple of questions for u....first of all i have an 2008 infiniti G37 and i want to install a screen with navigation and back up camera...i already have a screen installed in the car but with no navigation and the car doesn't have a back up camera.

So the question is from were can i buy the screen with navigation and a back up camera? ( i don't want to buy it from the dealer because its too expensive)

Welcome to NICO!

First off, lets get some things straight. You have a 2008 G37 coupe without NAV or a backup camera. Are you referring to the OEM screen?

Unfortunately, you need a new stereo unit to add NAV as it's hard drive based. I think you also need the touch screen monitor or they are sold together. For the back-up camera you need the hardware only I think. (the camera itself and the control module) I'm not sure if the stereo unit needs anything...that's something our techs might be able to answer.

Honestly, if you don't have NAV installed, it's cheaper to go aftermarket.

I was searching the forums on possibly installing an OEM rear view camera on a 08 G35 that didnt come with one. Basing from your response, it is possible to purchase the lid trim with the integrated camera plus the module and this should be plug and play I suppose? Has anyone done this yet to your knowledge?

There are other people with navigations for sale. Ask this guy how much for the rest of the stuff you want. It will generally be a lot cheaper.
