Hey everyone, I need to purchase some low profile tires for my M35 in short order, I forgot the dimensions, but it's for 19"rims. The current tires I have on their are Michelin, and they compound seems very soft.

I do a lot of street driving and the roads where I live are terrible so I am looking for a harder compound tire. Does anyone have any suggestions on what brand/tire type at a good price?

hsing : The harder compound tire will make the ride rougher; which may be ok for you. Personally, I prefer a quiet, smooth ride over those rough roads.

I have the Hankook Ventus EVO12 tires and they are very quiet and seem pretty durable; reasonably priced. I believe your size is a 245/40/19.

Tirerack and Discount tire should be able to help you with sizes.

While I love the Hankooks, I would consider their tread to be soft as well. But your right, the harder compound would produce a rougher ride but probably a longer lasting tire. And if someone wants a softer ride for street driving on bad roads then they should look for a bit taller tire (so it has more air and sidewall to absorb the impact) rather than a low profile one. Something along the lines of 245/45/19 or 245/50/19

The Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval AS in 245/50/19 might be a good choice, or the Continental ExtremeContact DWS in 255/50/19
If you really do want low profile tires then you can look in the "35" or "40" size.
